Stewart Curtis is Britain's favourite Klezmer player - that's official! Voted by the public as winners of the recent JC Poll 'Klezmer Idol', Stewart was honoured with a special plaque when he performed at KlezFest in the Park at Hyde Park in August.

Stewart who plays clarinet, sax and flute formed his Klezmer ensemble in the mid-nineties after being part of the outstanding debut QEH concert of Gregori Schechter's Klezmer Festival Band in 1991.

The band has always been on the cutting edge of Klezmer fusing the genre with other styles. Recently they appeared on ITV in the new Indian/Jewish comedy 'Mumbai Calling'. To book this band email jewishmusic@jmi.org.uk
